EXPO CHICAGO Contemporary Art Fair will return for its 12th edition from April 24-27 at Navy Pier’s Festival Hall. This year’s showcases 170 leading contemporary and modern art galleries from over 90 countries and 36 cities around the world. EXPO CHICAGO offers diverse and inventive program of talks, on-site installations, public art initiatives and a chance to meet some of the art world’s most prominent voices.

Inaugurated in 2012, EXPO CHICAGO draws upon the city’s robust history as a vibrant international cultural destination, while highlighting the region’s contemporary arts community. In 2023, EXPO CHICAGO was acquired by Frieze, the world’s leading platform for modern and contemporary art.

The Galleries section features leading international galleries. Additional sections include: EXPOSURE, featuring solo and two-artist presentations represented by galleries ten years and younger; PROFILE, presenting solo booths and focused projects that showcase ambitious installations and tightly-focused thematic exhibitions; Editions + Books, showcasing limited editions and publications offering a diverse array of print media and object-based practices; and Special Exhibitions, featuring select regional, national, and international non-profit institutions, museums, and organizations.

New initiatives for 2025 include a major new partnership with the Galleries Association of Korea + Kiaf, as well as CONTRAST, a new section curated by Lauren Haynes, Head Curator, Governors Island Arts and Vice President for Arts and Culture at the Trust for Governors Island.

The EXPO CHICAGO 2025 Selection Committee is comprised of the following leading gallerists: John Corbett and Jim Dempsey | Corbett vs. Dempsey, Chicago; Leslie Hammons | Weinstein Hammons Gallery, Minneapolis; Monique Meloche | moniquemeloche, Chicago, and Patrícia Pericas | Galeria Nara Roesler, São Paulo.

With the advisement of the Selection Committee, Rosario Güiraldes, Curator of Visual Arts at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, will serve as the curator of the EXPOSURE section—highlighting solo and two-artist presentations of emerging work from galleries ten years and younger.
