various small abstractions

This exhibition has already been called “the best show ever.”
Leslie Baum paints, draws, colleges, and teaches. Baum has exhibited nationally and internationally including exhibitions at CRG in New York, devening projects + editions in Chicago, Gregory Lind Gallery in San Francisco, Barone Odom Gallery in Rome, and the Sosabel Art Expo in Pyung Teak, South Korea. Her drawings are in the Chicago Art Institute’s permanent collection. Baum’s work has been reviewed in Art Forum, Art in America, and the Chicago Tribune, among many others. Leslie Baum lives and works in Chicago.
Magalie Guérin, born in Montreal (1973).
Guérin immigrated to the USA in 2000 and was based in New York City until moving to Chicago to pursue her studies in Painting at SAIC. She graduated with an MFA in 2011. She recently exhibited at Autumn Space in Chicago (solo), Monya Rowe gallery (NY), LVL3 and Julius Caesar (Chicago).
Tim Nickodemus (b. 1980, Mt. Angel, OR) lives and works in Chicago. He received his BA from Portland State University in 2006 and his MFA at University of Illinois at Chicago in 2011. His work has been included in group exhibitions in Portland, Seattle, Olympia, Iowa City, and Chicago. Nickodemus was a resident artist in 2008 at the Minnesota Art Shanty Projects. He is currently a teaching artist at Marwen, Chicago Public Schools and the Museum of Contemporary Art. In the fall of 2012, he will teach in the painting department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Also in March, Nickodemus has a solo exhibition at Alderman Exhibitions in Chicago.
Justin Witte did his undergraduate work at the New York Studio Program and the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design where he received his BFA in Painting. Justin received his MFA from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2007 where he was a University Fellow. A recipient of the Pew Fellowship in the Art for painting Justin has exhibited his work nationally and internationally in venues such as the D.u.m.b.o Art Center in New York City and The Contemporary Museum in Baltimore, MD. Justin is currently an Adjunct Faculty member at Columbia College Chicago.
