with an Artist Talk/Q&A 3 pm

Join Chicago Grand Gallery for the closing of Echo Mutation, an exhibition that explores how intuitive art-making can lead to unexpected transformations. Alicja Seledec curates the show in collaboration with Luna Prysiazhniuk, and it features three multitalented Chicago-based artists.

The exhibition highlights the work of Michelle Stone, Jeff Crisman, and David Hauptschein. Michelle’s art revolves around a unique circular process that blends painting, sculpture, and photography. She creates sculptures from acrylic plastic, then photographs and transforms these images into new paintings, seamlessly shifting between these different media. Jeff’s artistic practice is driven by an intuitive exploration of the natural world and the mutability of forms. His work speaks to the fragility of nature and the importance of living in harmony and awe. Taking commands only from the voice in the back of his head, David, who instinctively keys into the absurd, creates dramatic digital pictures that push boundaries and cause double-takes.

Don’t miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in the creative process and celebrate transformation through art. We invite you to experience the dynamic works of these artists and engage in meaningful conversations about the ever-changing nature of self and creation.

The show was curated by Alicja Seledec in collaboration with gallery director Luna Prysiazhniuk.

If you can’t make the closing, in the meantime the gallery hours are flexible. Call 773-502-6010 to make an appointment. For more information, go to www.chicagograndgallery.com.
