Performative Acts of the Everyday is a digital archival collection of artists contributing video works that redefine or enhance aspects of the everyday. Looking at the absurdity, humor, and strangeness that surrounds the mundane, curator Marina Cortés appropriates digital language and approaches the quotidian from anthropological and geopolitical perspectives to generate intergenerational and transnational dialogues.
The digital archive of submitted works takes the physical form of a live syncopated multimedia experience with projected videos in dialogue with one another, expanding and occupying the space.
Live viewings will take place in small groups. Please enter from the door in the back of the building; the exhibition is on the lower level. Someone will be there to guide you. If sessions fill, more might be added. A clean recording of the installation will be online following the exhibition and live streaming will also be available.
