Calling “women of color” to the circle for this installment of “Sis, U Belong Here.” At this gathering we’ll explore the origin of the term “women of color,” our points of connection and detachment, and our unique intersecting identities.
*Intended audience = women and femmes of color (WOC) only.
bio: veronica precious bohanan is a “space-maker”…a creative. her work centers Black girls and women. she said: “my work centers our humanity, our wholeness, and our completeness.”

This event is free and open to women and femmes of color. A select number of tickets will be available to purchase for fundraising purposes. These funds help to support future events at the Justice Hotel.

Justice Hotel at 6018North is a 5-room hotel created in partnership with the Chicago Architecture Biennial from September 18, 2019 to January 5, 2020. We invite you to “check in” to justice.
