SPACE.01 is proud to present processing…, a multimedia exhibition curated by Hope Barkov, opening on September 14th, 2024. The exhibition will run through October 12th, 2024, with an opening reception at 6PM on September 14th and a closing ceremony on October 12th. The gallery will be open every Monday from 12-8PM or by appointment.
processing… imagery, emotions, sound, experiences, materials, and memories. A SPACE.01 multimedia exhibition curated by Hope Barkov – featuring contemporary artists working with analog technology and processes. These works utilize material experimentation and manipulation to explore memory, nostalgia, identity, permanence, and time. processing… questions the objectivity of human memory as well as the methods through which we record it.
Expect surprises and goodies from Bellows Film Lab, the official sponsor of this exhibition.

SPACE.01 is located at 2334 N Milwaukee Ave in Logan Square, Chicago. The gallery is dedicated to supporting emerging black, queer, and femme artists and provides an inclusive space for artists to create, showcase, and profit from their work. SPACE.01 is run by Trejon D’Angelo, Hope Barkov, Aliah Robinson, and Sydney Cook.
