Streaming from Sunday, November 1 through Saturday, November 30 at 12pm EDT
My Mattachine tells the story of a gay man’s search for connection in the 1970s and 80s on the south side of Chicago. The film’s maker, Martin Mulcahy, creates visual essays exploring memory, identity, and location through experimental mixed media: animation, found imagery, film, video, and sound.
CHICAGOLAND SHORTS VOL. 6
Presented in partnership with Full Spectrum Features, Chicagoland Shorts Vol. 6 unites the best of documentary, narrative, experimental, video collage, and animated short works from Chicago filmmakers. The sixth volume of this traveling short film anthology features recent works from established and up-and-coming makers alike. The collection embarks on a journey, traveling from the windy city, to Vietnam, to Iran—exploring stories of self-discovery, family, childhood, sex, and death.
