Friday, March 15 is the closing reception of Self-Obsession: Self-Portraits by David Hauptschein. This body of work is a new chapter in his ongoing exploration of photo-based digital painting. The reception is part of Zhou B Art Center’s regular Third Friday open house celebration, where artists throughout the building open their studios to the public. It’s always a lively and unpretentious scene, so join the fun!
Also, Hauptschein has a piece in the Seventh Annual BAC art competition. The Bridgeport Art Center is located at: 1200 W 35th St just two blocks west of the Zhou B Art Center. The opening reception runs from 7 to 10 PM on the same night.
Note: There is free parking directly to the east of Zhou B Art Center. You can enter the building from the front or the rear. Also, parking can usually be found on the side streets north of 35th St.
