Excavate the Image is a show about the discovery and utilization of mark-making through the process of painting. Lauren Sullivan (BFA, 2019), Kat Gu (BFA, 2018) and Angela Lee (BFA,2019) are undergraduate students who create abstractions by using formality as an intuitive guide. Through excavating their imagery, each begins to dig into what is presented, nding both internal and external forces that drive their works.
