Inferno’s Sound Re:Creation with Norman W. Long

Inferno’s free Sound Re:Creation workshops connect local sound artists with park users in order to collaboratively play with, understand, record, and creatively manipulate the sounds of Chicago’s park spaces.

This SoundWalk and workshop will explore focused listening and sound mapping with mobile phones and iPads in Jackson Park. Led by teaching artist, Norman W. Long (http://normanwlong.wixsite.com/soundartdesign).

Meet at Garden of the Phoenix at 1pm. Soundwalk and sound mapping will also explore Wooded Island and the Bobolink Meadow.
1pm: Soundwalk
2pm: Sound mapping
3pm: Habitat restoration with Jackson Park Community Stewards
