This seminar highlights the fascinating history of architecture in Chicago’s parks. This course explores the contributions of renowned designers including Daniel H. Burnham, William Le Baron Jenney, and Dwight H. Perkins, as well as that of talented but lesser-known architects such as Clarence Hatzfeld and Emanuel Buchsbaum. Reading assignments for the first class will be emailed upon registration. Four sessions.
