Coinciding with EXPO CHICAGO, The International Exposition of Contemporary and Modern Art at Navy Pier, (Sept. 18 – 21), EDITION Chicago emphasizes high-quality, moderately priced works in support of emerging artists and collectors. EDITION will exhibit work from cutting-edge galleries and non-profit institutions from around the country inside of CAC’s expansive West Loop gallery space, (217 N. Carpenter Street).

New and returning galleries exhibiting at EDITION Chicago 2014 include Chicago Artists Coalition (Chicago), Gallery 19 (Chicago), Steven Harvey (New York City), Museum of Contemporary Photography (Chicago), Ochi Shop (Ketchum, Idaho), David Peterson Gallery (Minneapolis), The Pitch Project (Milwaukee), Andrew Rafacz Gallery (Chicago), Segura Arts Studio (South Bend, Indiana),THE MISSION (Chicago), Vertical Gallery (Chicago) and Yaupetec (Mexico City).

EDITION Chicago will be open to the public Friday, Sept. 19 through Sunday, Sept. 21. Entry to EDITION Chicago is free, but a $10 donation is suggested to help fund innovative programming throughout the anniversary year. A VIP/press champagne breakfast preview will be held Friday, Sept. 19, 9 –11:00 am, celebrating the opening of EDITION Chicago.

2012-2013 BOLT Residents Sarah Belknap and Joseph Belknap will create 25 special edition archival silicone wall sculptures, “Fossil Fields,” that will be available for purchase exclusively at EDITION Chicago. The Belknaps hold graduate degrees in performance art from the School of the Art Instiute of Chicago, and have worked collaboratively since 2008. Their work will be on view at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago in “BMO Harris Bank Chicago Works:Sarah and Joseph Belknap,” from Oct. 11, 2014 – Feb. 24, 2015.

Founded by Chicago Artists Coalition in conjunction with Chicago-based gallery owner Andrew Rafacz, EDITION Chicago debuted in 2013, welcoming hundreds of guests to view works from 14 galleries over the course of the three-day fair. Exhibiting an eclectic mix of contemporary art in all media, participating galleries reported favorable sales and interest from a broad network of collectors and supporters.

EDITION CHICAGO is presented by Chartwell Insurance and Chubb Personal Insurance, and is sponsored by Intelligentsia and the Conservation Center. The official media sponsor of the 2014 fair is Design Bureau.
