SLIP-Tastic, juried by Kyle Johns
Sliptastic is a juried exhibition of contemporary slip cast ceramics from around the US. From functional to sculptural with many iterations in between and combined with other media and clay techniques, this exhibition highlights the innovative ways that ceramic artists use slip casting.

A former instructor at Lillstreet, Kyle Johns was born in and raised in the Chicago land area most all his life. Kyle found his passion for working with clay at Oakton Community College. Kyle then transferred to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) where he began studying under Paul Dresang and Matt Wilt. Following undergraduate, Kyle received his Master of Fine Arts degree from Ohio University, studying with Brad Schwieger, Tom Bartel, Alex Hibbitt, and Chuck Mcweeny.
