Sewing Do Museum: Opening Weekend
@ Sewing Do Museum
3050 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60618
Opening Saturday, October 24th, from 11AM - 7PM
On view through Sunday, October 25th
Sewing Do Museum highlights the craft and culture of sewing while giving visitors the option to make a project as they peruse the exhibitions. People can learn how to sew buttons, practice stitching and pick their favorite fabrics.
The space also features designers and inventors who made an impact on the sewing world, including some from Chicago.
The Do Museum is built on the belief that learning happens best through doing. We transform visitors from passive observers into active creators by combining history, culture, and hands-on creation – forming deeper connections that help ideas truly stick. When applied to sewing—something woven into so much of everyday life—the experience becomes more than educational. It becomes personal, memorable, and inspiring.
Add community, and it becomes even more powerful.
That’s what makes The Sewing Do Museum special: an experience stitched together by our values of Craft + Creation + Community.
Enter the world of sewing. Leave with something you made.
