Eleftheria Lialios “ORIGIN” and Sandra Yagi “Anthropomorphs”
@ Bert Green Fine Art
8 S Michigan Ave, Suite 620, Chicago IL 60603
Opening Saturday, November 7th, from 5PM - 7PM
On view through Saturday, January 16th
Eleftheria Lialios is a Chicago-based photographer with a long and distinguished history in the Chicago art community. ORIGIN is a body of photographic work created during the artist’s 2026 Guest Artist residency at Fermilab. All of the photographs in this exhibition were taken within the scientific environments she encountered at Fermilab and enhanced by the artist.
Sandra Yagi is interested in the intersection between science and art, using themes of anatomy, genetic manipulation, evolution, and medical oddities as tools in the creation of paintings in traditional styles. Her latest works explore the human tendency to “anthropomorphize” animals, seeing characteristics and motivations of ourselves in them; to both their detriment and salvation.
