The last in our Summer Artist Pop Up Series for 2026 is artist Sergio Farfan with an exhibition titled, ‘Move in Silence’. The pop up will be open Saturday, Sept. 12th & Sunday, Sept. 13th from 12 to 5pm only!
‘Move in Silence’ is a new body of paintings and sculptures centered around the ideas of strategy, patience, and observation.
Chess has often been described as a game that mirrors life. Every move creates a reaction, every decision has a consequence, and knowing when to act can be just as important as knowing when to wait. ‘Move in Silence’ takes that idea beyond the chessboard and into everyday life.
Throughout the work, characters without mouths appear as recurring motifs. Their silence is intentional.
The work is meant to be experienced rather than explained. Each piece leaves space for the viewer to create their own interpretation and find their own meaning within the characters and situations presented.
