Chicago-based musicians and bandleaders Elijah McLaughlin and Tommaso Moretti come together in an exciting new project that explores the vast landscape of improvised music. Drawing from a rich mix of personal influences—ranging from minimalism and jazz to ambient, psychedelia, and experimental rock—the duo crafts a sound that blends melodic lyricism, hypnotic grooves, and ever-evolving harmonic textures. Their dynamic, forward-driven music is grounded in the present moment, yet propels the listener on a captivating sonic journey. To join the duo in a special performance at the Compound Yellow will be the acclaimed saxophonist and flutist Mai Sugimoto.
