The Heritage Museum of Asian Art invites you to an evening conversation with Kioto Aoki, whose exhibition Circumference of the Sun inaugurates the museum’s pop-up artist series in response to More Things Japanese.

Aoki will share insights into her multidisciplinary practice—bridging photography, sound, and movement—and discuss how her work reflects on light, rhythm, and temporality as a dialogue between cultural memory and artistic form. In this talk, Aoki will also reflect on her Japanese American heritage and her engagement with traditional and contemporary Japanese aesthetics in a global context.
