This is an exhibition of some of the artworks of the Art Educators’ Exchange.
The first members of the Educators’ Art Exchange were participants at regular teacher art critiques hosted in northwest suburban high school District 211 in the early 2000s. Eventually, the idea was proposed that participants exchange the art that we critiqued and discussed at the end of each school year. This idea eventually evolved into making editions of artworks specifically for the purposes of exchange, as well as critique and discussion.

This exhibition, “Spaces, Forms and Concepts”, is to celebrate EAE achievements and to showcase the rich variety of artworks created by our diverse membership. The EAE enthusiastically encourages teachers to be active artists who regularly create art, participate in the Chicago area art community, and in doing this, to become better artistic role models for young people. The EAE also seeks to demonstrate to our students and to the greater community that art ownership is accessible through mutual exchange of art, and through patronage of local galleries. On display will be a wide range of two dimensional and three dimensional artworks.
