Visual Journaling for Intention Setting

In this virtual workshop, participants will learn how visual journaling can be used as a reflective practice and how to start.
Visual journaling combines art-making and writing in order to build relationships with oneself and deepen personal meaning of life experiences. The workshop will include examples, open work time, and verbal processing. Participants will receive prompts to explore intention-setting and wellness.
Facilitated by Annalise Castro, an Art & Trauma therapist and visual artist working in painting, ceramics, fibers, and mixed media to explore expressive modalities of storytelling.

This workshop is open to allies and advocates and survivors of sexual violence. All ages welcome, please notify us ahead of the workshop if you are under 18.

Journal/sketchbook
Altered books or cut out clippings of words
Collage books (collage starter kit with stickers & cut outs)
Writing utensils (pencils, colored pens)
Drawing utensils (colored pencils, markers, crayons, etc.)
Magazines for collage
Paper
Glue
