The Evanston Art Center (EAC) is proud to present a new visiting artist workshop, The Painterly Print, A Monotype Workshop, Taught by Lea Basile-Lazarus

Spontaneous, direct and expressive… monotypes are a painterly printmaking process that create unique one of a kind images using a variety of experimental contemporary techniques.

You will be instructed in a variety of printmaking approaches, including drawing, reductive and additive applications, the use of stencils and utilitarian tools that can be used to create personal expressive marks and images. This process can be used for simple line drawing, that create stunning results, or one can create complex prints, using layers of colors, shapes, and textures.

Use this 3 hour workshop to explore, experiment, and to have fun.
