About the Artist
Zacbe Pichardo is a Chicago performer, composer, and educator native to Mexico City. He is versatile in a variety of musical instruments. including harp, accordion, guitar, percussion, and zapateado. In 2007 and 2008 he was nominated for two GRAMMYยฎ Awards and has also won four Chicago Music Awards. He performs with the Sones de Mexico ensembles, Ida y Vuelta, and Third Coast Baroque, and also freelances and leads the cumbia band โGuapachosos.โ
