What is to Keep

*What is to Keep* considers what it means to hold on to people, relationships, objects, and memories in lives shaped by movement and change. Growing out of experiences of migration, departure, loss, and distance, the exhibition looks at keeping not simply as possession, but as an ongoing act of care, repetition, and remembrance.
Across four works in moving image, sound, projection, and installation, the exhibition follows the traces that remain after people leave and places change: objects passed from one person to another, recorded images, repeated gestures, and memories that continue to return. Through loops and repetition, *What is to Keep* reflects on the strange tenderness of preservation—our attempts to keep something close even while knowing that time will continue to move through it.
Drawing from the phrase 「樹欲靜而風不止」—the tree wishes to be still, but the wind does not stop—the exhibition asks what it might mean to keep something when permanence is never possible, and what can continue to live with us after departure.
A special **Audiovisual Performance with Veryveryvery** will take place on **Saturday, September 19, 2026**, bringing the exhibition into a live and evolving form through sound, image, and performance.
Outside of the opening and performance, the exhibition will be open by appointment only.
