Join us at the Poetry Foundation’s gallery for an afternoon to observe our current exhibition, Frente a la vida / Facing Life by Victoria Martinez, and learn how the body of work relates to Peruvian poet and activist, Magda Portal. After the exhibition walkthrough, Martinez will recite Portal’s poems that inspired the exhibition in English and Spanish inside the library. Participants will be invited to respond to the poems by creating collages and sharing their work with the group.

This workshop is for participants aged 18 and older, of all backgrounds and experiences with reading and writing poetry.

All materials will be provided.
