@ Richard J. Daley Branch, Chicago Public Library
3400 S Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60608
Opening Saturday, October 18th, from 1PM - 4PM
Zine Club Chicago is excited to celebrate the release of local collaborative zine Bodies on the Page 2 with a free community event curated by artist Jamie Kadas! BOTP2 features 11 contributors exploring the joys and challenges of living in their bodies.
Please join us for Bodies on the Page Panel + Zine Release Event presented by Zine Club Chicago, 1-4 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the Richard J. Daley branch of the Chicago Public Library, 3400 S. Halsted St. in Bridgeport. Free!
At 2 p.m., Jamie Kadas will moderate a panel with BOTP2 contributors Clau Rocha, Katie Armentrout, Megan Kirby, and Robin Carnilius. If you attended our first Bodies on the Page event in 2023, you know that this engaging discussion is not to be missed!
During the event, you’re invited to make a zine about your own body at our zinemaking station! We’ll provide all the zinemaking supplies, along with creative prompts and instructions on how to fold a mini-zine.
Bodies on the Page 2 will be available to purchase or read for free at our South Side Zine Library, which is permanently housed at the Richard J. Daley branch. Many of the creators who contributed to BOTP2 also will be tabling with their zines and artwork during the event.
The contributors to BOTP2 are: Jamie Kadas (editor/publisher); Andrea Pearson; Celina Barajas; Clau Rocha; Cynthia E. Hanifin; Jude R Bettridge; Katie Armentrout; Lee Honey; Liz Mason; Megan Kirby; and Robin Carnilius.
Zine Club Chicago is a mask-supportive environment; we’ll have masks available if you’d like to wear one.
Zine newbies and longtime enthusiasts alike are always welcome at Zine Club Chicago. This free community event series is produced by Cynthia E. Hanifin. Anna Jo Beck is the creative force behind our visuals. Liz Mason is our indispensable co-conspirator.
Thank you to Jamie Kadas for designing our event flyer!
