Queer Symbolism in Cosplay Props

Learn how to incorporate queer symbols into your cosplay props. This program encourages participants to add personal touches that reflect their identities, such as rainbows, pride flags, or other meaningful designs, making the cosplay a celebration of self-expression.
All supplies will be provided for this program.
Monica Paprocki is a professional cosplayer. Originally from the Philippines and now in Chicago, she runs GeeksAGogo.com, highlighting geek culture. Her cosplay work, focused on gaming and RPGs, has been featured in the Chicago Tribune and The New Yorker. Monica speaks at conventions on diversity in cosplay and the gaming industry, inspiring others in these communities.
This event is for teens ages 13-19.
Radical Fit is a Chicago Public Library YOUmedia initiative dedicated to teen fashion-making with a special focus on gender identity and equity.
