‘Queer Impressions’ poses the question: what does it mean to queer a print? Is it through queering of process? Perhaps abstraction and dissection of subject? Or maybe a unique approach to substrate or matrix?
The artists featured in this portfolio exchange push boundaries, break rules, and make space for their unique voices in their respective print media approaches. Resistance, joy, tenderness, sex, and everyday navigations of life simply scratch the surface for what is collectively explored.
We are so fortunate and excited to showcase their work for the first of hopefully several iterations of queer print exchanges. And we can’t wait to show you all what these artist’s have created!
