Electric Psalms: Artist Talks & Closing Event
@ Gallery Wrightwood Logan Square
3325 W Wrightwood Ave, Chicago, IL 60647
Opening Saturday, June 21st, from 3PM - 5PM
On view through Saturday, June 21st
This exhibition explores the intersection of faith, daily rituals, and rapidly changing technology. Places of worship have always been spaces where stories of belief and community are shared. These traditions shift and evolve in response to technological change, especially in the digital age. Through photography, sound, and fashion, the artists reimagine sacred spaces and symbols, blending the past with the present to reflect how technology shapes our lives, habits, and rituals.
Some works evoke a sense of timelessness, drawing on ancient traditions, while others challenge our understanding of transcendence and connection in an increasingly digital world. In a time when technology is reshaping every aspect of life—from how we connect to others, to how we experience the divine—this exhibition invites us to reconsider how faith and spirituality evolve in response to our digital daily rituals and the ever-advancing pace of technology.
Artist Talks will begin at 3:30pm
Featured Artists: Max Li, Andrew Boynton, Nimrod Astarhan, Sarah Brophy, Isaac Couch, Anna Johnson, Alan Perry, Zitian Li
