Alanna Huck-Scarry & Ella Rinaldi: Tussock Clasp
@ Positive Space Studios
3520 W Fullerton Ave, Chicago, IL 60647
Opening Friday, June 20th, from 6PM - 10PM
Pale Tussock Moth biology-
The moth flies from April to June.
Egg light yellowish brown with dark median spot. Larva usually light lemon yellow, but sometimes brownish yellow, violet or blackish grey, with deep black segmental incisions, lighter dorsal brushes and red or brown pencil on the 11th segment.
Clasp-a device with interlocking parts used for fastening things together.
Ella @0greenbeans & Alanna @ahuckscarry both enjoy playing with weight along side a similar color palette in different ways in their work. At times this back and forth is very clear through muted tones something they both have a great affinity for. The overall composition is where they take very different paths Alanna using knitting & fibers. Ella uses wax, engravings & paintings in their practice to convey emotion through out their work.
Join me for “Tussock Clasp” to celebrate their work June 20th at 3520 w Fullerton Ave, 6-10pm
