Exhibition Statement

In respect to the month of May, this show serves as a reflection of the values and ambitions shared by people identifying with Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander heritage. We are within a period of time that has grown increasingly hostile to artists, their work, and identity across the board. In order to identify what exactly it is we hold on to and what we reach for, we must look. This show is a survey of our lives, on the ground, in the field, on our own two feet.
