The Bridging The Divide: Stories Told and Untold series focused on various forms of racial healing. May’s program, ‘Arts As Resistance : Uplifting APIDA Voices’ centers on bridging together the Asian, Pacific Island, Desi, American communities and address Asia Hate.
Moderated by Chicago based poet and author Ignatius Valentine Aloysius and features guest panelist Caroline Ng of the Chinese American Museum of Chicago, Tatsu Aiko of Asian Improv aRts Midwest and Shireen Ahmad and Afzal Ahmad from South Asia Institute.
`The group will discuss challenges, successes and ways that various Asian communities interact, collaborate or address the comonalities.
