Founded in 2019, the project fosters sustained educational and artistic opportunities for LGBTQ+ people to connect across generations. We bring together diverse cohorts of LGBTQ+ college aged youth and LGBTQ+ older adults (55+) for themed dialogues, storytelling, shared meals, and collaborative artmaking.
The art work in this exhibition is rooted in our commitment to continuing our history and inspired by our visits to Gerber Hart LGBTQ+ Library and Archives.
In a political moment where we are witnessing renewed unabashed transphobic and homophobic legislation, we as an engaged community of queer artists, activists, and scholars draw on our collaborative artistic practices to remind everyone that we’ve been here, we’ve always been here, and we refuse attempts to erase us. Please join us in this work.
