ENROUTE is a one-day public art event taking place during EXPO Chicago weekend on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 4:30–7:30 PM. Set along the 606 Bloomingdale Trail— from Julia de Burgos Park to Ridgeway Avenue (Exelon Observatory)—ENROUTE transforms the path into an open-air gallery and performance space. Artists will present drawings, photographs, sculptures, and performances that engage with the architecture and landscape of the 606. Curated and organized by Jess Bass and Yue Xu, this inaugural edition marks the beginning of an ongoing effort to bring contemporary art into Chicago’s public spaces.
