Let’s celebrate the expression and diversity of Chicago Public School students exhibiting in CAPE’s Performativity and Transparencies, and the incredible creativity of Snow City Arts young artists!

Opening Reception (during Bridgeport Art Walk) RSVP: https://capechicago.org/event/opening-reception-for-cape-exhibitions-snow-city-arts-spring-snowcase/

Transparencies is an exhibition that questions “How do students create a window installation to reveal relationships between environments and social interactions?”

This exhibition invites you to look at and look through student artworks displayed in the many North and East-facing windows of the CAPE gallery! In collaboration with Chicago Academy for the Arts students.

Featuring students from Arthur R Ashe Jr Elementary, John B Murphy Elementary, Louis Pasteur Elementary, and Ray Graham Training Center High School!

Performativity is an exhibition that questions “How does documentation illuminate the creative processes and embodiments of students’ performative works?”

Collecting recordings, narratives, and objects from various CAPE performance-based classes, this exhibition shines light on the practices, events, and expressions that constitute performance and how students embody knowledge.

Featuring students from Douglas Taylor Elementary, Turner Elementary (Community Class in West Chicago), William K New Sullivan Elementary, and more schools!

This spring event features an inclusive collection of artwork created by Snow City Arts students while they were in the hospital or participating in SCA programs.

The Snow City Arts Spring Snowcase is more than just an exhibition; it’s a community celebration. From funders and partners to families and friends, we invite everyone to come together to appreciate and support the artistic talents of these remarkable young individuals. Witness the generative power of art and be inspired by the creativity of our students.
