Join us for an in-depth conversation about heritage and the future with art and culture leaders in our community. In partnership with the South Asia Institute, Asian Improv aRts Midwest, Abrahamic Center for Cultural Education, Butoh Chicago, and more.

In the spirit of the Year of the Dragon, we approach our collaboration through the imagery of the Chinese Dragon, Loong. Loong is a mythical creature with a camel’s head, cat eyes, deer horns, a serpent’s body, carp scales, and eagle’s claws. It symbolizes the unification of diverse forces working together to achieve excellence. Its mythical power derives from the coordination of all these elements, reflecting the reality of our everyday lives as immigrants and our shared efforts in the realm of art and culture.

We also approach the act of inheriting as a way to keep alive. Keeping alive creates opportunities for growth and renewal. Inheriting comes with responsibility and a commitment to learning, which require nurturing, dedication, and continuous reflection.

Please note tours may be canceled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
