Join us for the closing reception of “the cyborgs undone, the ghosts came to light, the ancestors control the future”.
Chicago Artists Coalition is pleased to announce The cyborgs undone, the ghosts came to light, the ancestors control the future, a solo exhibition by 2023-24 BOLT Resident Olya Salimova.
The cyborgs undone, the ghosts came to light, the ancestors control the future features works that speak to Salimova’s interest in (re)assembling the real and the unreal, abandoned and natural materials, and exploring textural strata and transfiguration.
The night will also include a performance. Rememberings is product of collaboration between Olya Salimova and cellist Timothy Fawkes, which brings Salimova’s visual and poetic language to experimental music landscape. Duration: 20 min.
The opening reception will be on January 19 from 5-8pm.
The performance will take place at 6pm.
