Opening Friday, March 11th, from 5PM - 10PM
On view through Saturday, April 16th
In celebration of the 6th year anniversary of Oliva Gallery – 56/Milwaukee
Named after Kimberly Oliva’s high school bus line 56/Milwaukee, the exhibition features 2D and 3D artists from 90’s-2000’s whose creative endeavors inspired her to open up a contemporary art gallery. “I consider Milwaukee Avenue as a roadmap/time line of my life, punctuated by the electric energy from the Around the Coyote Festivals, dancing at Medusa’s at Congress Theatre to hanging out at Earwax renting movies and meeting the likes of Wesley Willis. I look to 90’s-2000’s Wicker Park as such a vibrant catalyst in the Midwest arts scene.”
