Daniel Bruttig (born 1975, Milwaukee, WI) lives and works in Chicago, IL. Bruttig received a BFA from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2001 and his MFA from the Department of Art Theory and Practice at Northwestern University in 2010. He has presented work in solo exhibitions at Marquee Projects in New York, Hyde Park Art Center in Chicago and others. Bruttig has also presented his work in numerous group shows including shows in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Toronto. Bruttig has contributed work to the Renaissance Society at the University of Chicago, The Hyde Park Art Center and Evanston Art Center. In 2009 he received the Dedalus Foundation nomination. In 2010, Bruttig received the Joan Mitchell Foundation Emerging MFA nomination.
