“In the tradition of traveling tempestuous waters with melody and rhythm as your only guide, Ben LaMar Gay and Jeremiah Collier will convene and play their experience of growing up in the embrace of a Great Lake. The two listeners will use cornet, voice, drums, a #2 pencil and static to explore the inherited sound that knocks against Chicago’s grid and spills out into a wall of sound that is created by a freshwater inland sea.”
