IMMATERIAL GIRLS
Immaterial Girls will feature seven pieces directed by women. Media portrayals of femininity are remixed and reused throughout this powerful series of works. The viewer becomes a fly on the wall at a therapy session with cinema’s femme fatale—painfully breaking new psychological ground. Utilizing images in a way that simultaneously destroys and creates them anew, these artists channel the ouroboros, consuming and birthing their works in an infinite loop.
