If it is made here, then is it of Earth? And if it is not entirely made of earth, then is it made of us? Or is everything pooled from greater universes into our own?
Family showed me how to crochet, and I am compelled to share in this greater world of textile makers.
By using alternative materials, like clay and thermoplastic, I can explore and augment fundamental stitches and forms in subversive ways. My desire to do so comes from a queer place – an attempt to manifest the fringe that I feel inside.
