Beautiful arrangements of flowers with roots stretching back to Kyoto, Japan presented by Ikenobo Ikebana Society, Chicago Chapter.
Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, originated with Ikenobo in Kyoto, Japan, as a Buddhist floral offering. This show is presented by the Ikenobo Ikebana Society, Chicago Chapter, and will feature arrangements from members, including chapter president Charles Harris Sensei, who will be on hand to answer questions about Ikenobo. The exhibition is free. Parking and admission to the Chicago Botanic Garden is $25.00 for members or residents of Lake County and $30 for non-members and non-residents.The exhibition is open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4:30 pm.If you are interested in learning more about Ikenobo Ikebana, Harris Sensei offers class here at The Japanese Culture Center.
