Art exhibition and reception to meet ceramic artist Kim Caisse. Kim’s new exhibition is called Making Friends. In a very literal sense Kim does make friends: these are clay creatures of her own making, utilizing materials and inspiration found in her local surroundings in Hannibal, Missouri. Kim’s friends inhabit shadowboxes, each with their own miniature world, shaped and influenced by many walks in nearby abandoned industrial spaces slowly decaying back into wilderness. The reception is August 4th, 5-8pm and the exhibition is on view until August 19th.
