Kate Conlon is a Chicago based artist who’s multi-media work uses the language of scientific investigation to explore issues of reality, perception, and speculation. Conlon’s work explores the various ways we make sense of the world from the instinctive and bodily to the theoretical and mythological.

Conlon is a Co-Founder of Fernwey Gallery and Director of Fernwey Editions, a Chicago based press that collaborates with emerging and mid-career artists on limited edition prints. Conlon received her BA from Smith College and Goldsmiths in 2011 and her MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) in 2014. She currently teaches in the printmedia departments at SAIC and Columbia College Chicago. This is her first solo exhibition in Chicago.
