ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
LUIS MEJICO is an artist based in Chicago. He has performed and exhibited work at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Chicago, Mana Contemporary, Links Hall, and Zhou Brothers Art Center, among others. Utilizing facets that form the basis for social bonds such as intimacy, empathy, and trust, Luis Mejico integrates structures of social relationships directly into the parameters of his work.

CLEE McCRACKREN is a chicago based musician and performing artist. Notable past performances include Erik Satie’s Vexations; In C with Stuart Dempster; and a multi-media “recital” featuring a composition for lip-synced voice and chamber ensemble. Other recent works include a sound collage featured on the ICAREIFYOULISTEN mixtape, and an opera commissioned for Luis Mejico’s “Following: Valentine’s Day” presented by High Concept Labs. All of Clee’s work is about TIME and clocks.

TANNAZ MOTEVALLI is a transdisciplinary artist born and raised in Bmore. She is now in Chi-city feeling kinda cold and looking for love. She’s easily obsessed and spends most of her time ruminating on fantasies with a hot cup of tea. She is both amazed and afraid of her own body. She wants you to be happy but knows you keep your feelings in until it all boils over and you snap. She wants to stroke your head and say it’s okay. She’s here for you; her heart is big.

PAULA PINHO MARTINS NACIF is a Brazilian-Portuguese gURL, living in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Her #newmedia #performance and #writing work has been shown online and off. She has controlled crowds in Chicago, Illinois.

ALLIE SHYER is a writer and artist based in Chicago IL. She is a staff writer for Artreport.com and Hooligan Mag. Her work Notes on Young explores the intersections of femininity, technology and daily experience.

JAKE VOGDS is a multidisciplinary artist working in performance, visual media, installation, and costume. Through faux-pop performances, Vogds creates queer celebrities out of his own image, challenging ideas of identity, commercial expectations, and contemporary trend.

ISABELLE FRANCES McGUIRE is an interdisciplinary artist currently based out of Chicago. Her work deals with hierarchies in fetish online and the mediated gaze. She has shown in Germany, Mexico, Canada and extensively in Chicago. Currently, she is working on a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

JOEY SCHER is a Los(t) Angeleno, moved to Chicago to continue her comedy/art career. Through her episodic YouTube videos, different forms of digital media, and fiber work, she portrays life’s sad and funny moments.

HANK JORDAN is an arts organizer and writer operating both in Chicago, Il and online. His work has been shown/talked about places like tritriangle, Anatomy/Gift/Association, my friends’ apartments, Jon Cate’s facebook, Maybe Sunday, bad at sports & 2nd Floor Rear.
