Deliverance: Writings on Postal Relations
@ The Richard J. Daley Branch Chicago Public Library
3400 S Halsted St Chicago, IL
Opening Tuesday, December 9th, at 6:30PM
Marc Fischer and a group of special guests (TBA) will read/perform DELIVERANCE: WRITINGS ON POSTAL RELATIONS, a book chronicling Fischer’s committed but fraught bond with Chicago’s post offices, the Logan Square post office in particular. The performance will convey the frustration, the anguish, the periodic and unexpected joy and frequent sorrow of Fischer, a man who mails a lot of stuff. Many will be able to commiserate with Fischer’s difficult postal relations, but for people in the audience who have never used Chicago’s most challenging post offices, well…this will be their moment to learn in a comfortable setting that should mostly be free of lines.
The event will take place at the Chicago Public Library Richard J. Daley Branch in Bridgeport. 3400 S. Halsted
