At The Salon Series, we’ll talk about Lynn’s sensuously layered encaustic paintings on paper and panel and her desire to “lose control” of the medium. But we’ll also move beyond process and theory into what it means to make art in a market economy. Informally titled “The Top of the Middle” after Lynn’s personal assessment of her place in the art world pecking order, this talk will dissect our concepts of ourselves as collectors, viewers, makers and consumers.
