A little bit about Prospective and the upcoming show:
Chicago artists Lucy Baird and Caitlyn Hofer met while studying for their BFAs at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). Upon graduating, it became apparent that there were few places for local emerging artists to show and sell their work. To fill this need and support these artists, the two founded The Prospective Series, a gallery that “pops-up” a quarterly show in various locations around Chicago.
The Prospective Series is about bridging the gap between emerging artists making exciting new work and those interested in unique art. We aim to demystify the process of buying art by making it more accessible to a wider audience.
Our next show is May 15, 2013 at 6pm at Old Town Social. This show will feature photography and paper sculpture by local artists Jackie Furtado, Sarah Malorie and Alli Rooney.
