On view through Thursday, December 19th
Join us on Friday, November 1 for the opening of “Insula”, a solo exhibition by 2024 Newcity Breakout Artist María Burundarena, curated by Vasia Rigou.
Drawing from Chicago’s overlooked, abandoned landscapes, María Burundarena creates immersive large-scale installations that capture the fleeting and intimate connection between city and memory. Bringing together photography, print media, light projection, and reflective materials, Insula invites the viewer to explore these forgotten spaces, bridging reality and imagination in a world of introspection, wonder, and discovery.
The opening reception will be from 5-8pm on Friday, November 1 at Chicago Artists Coalition | 2130 W. Fulton St.
