El Cariño Festival de Cine, en su tercera edición, es una proyección anual y gratuita donde se muestran 10 cortometrajes creados por realizadores jóvenes emergentes de 13 a 26 años de edad. El festival está dedicado a ofrecer una plataforma para que realizadores jóvenes compartan sus perspectivas únicas sobre elles mismes, sus comunidades y el mundo.
El Cariño Festival de Cine fue creado en honor de Zedrick “Cariño” Alfredo Aurelio, quien falleció a la edad de 26 años después de una larga lucha contra un carcinoma adenoma quístico. Cariño dedicó su vida a compartir su pasión por las artes cinematográficas y a construir comunidad.
Acompáñenos en OPEN Center for the Arts este 15 y 16 de noviembre para disfrutar dos días de proyecciones, una ceremonia de premiación con premios en efectivo, oportunidades de pasantías con organizaciones cinematográficas de Chicago y la oportunidad de hacer conexiones con profesionales de la industria.
Todas las películas están disponibles en inglés y en español (las películas en inglés con subtítulos en español y viceversa).
The 3rd Annual Cariño Festival de Cine is a free annual showcase of 10 short films created by emerging filmmakers ages 13-26. The festival is dedicated to providing a platform for young filmmakers to share their unique perspectives on themselves, their communities, and the world.
Cariño Festival de Cine was created in honor of Zedrick “Cariño” Alfredo Aurelio who passed away at the age of 26 after a long battle with adenoid cystic carcinoma. Cariño devoted his life to bringing people together and sharing his passion for the cinematic arts.
Join OPEN Center for the Arts on November 15 and 16 for two days of film screenings, an awards ceremony with cash prizes, internship opportunities with various Chicago filmmaking organizations, and networking opportunities with industry professionals.
All films are accessible in both English and Spanish (English films with Spanish subtitles, and vice versa).
